Regional Technology Platforms![]() New communication technologies provide an enormous potential for dissemination of knowledge and results. However, face-to-face contacts have proven to be important as well for effective dissemination and consultation. Therefore Regional Technology Platforms (RTP’s) will be organised throughout Europe. The RTP’s are the main vehicle for dissemination and consultation activities in TECHNEAU. They function as a ‘hub’ for communication, consultation of stakeholders, dissemination, training activities and consortium meetings. RTP’s are organised 2 times per year throughout Europe and will make use of existing networks and local partners, represented in the TECHNEAU consortium:
At the start of the project Regional Technology Platforms focused on consultation of stakeholders for additional input to the project and to create support among stakeholders. The current and future RTP’s focus on dissemination of TECHNEAU results.
To cope with present and future demands and threats regarding water supply in industrialised and developing countries it is important to analyse the water situation in different regions of the world and to rethink the current water supply situation.
